General

These terms apply to quotes, orders and purchases of goods and services from FSK ehf. (Icelandic company reg. no. 690726-1300), operator of Fiskar.is, Síðumúli 1, 108 Reykjavík, Iceland. By placing an order the buyer accepts the terms as published on this page on the date of the order.

Quotes and orders

Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. Orders can be placed by email to fiskar@fiskar.is, by phone or through the website; an order is confirmed once written confirmation has been received from Fiskar.is.

A large part of the product range is ordered specially from manufacturers abroad. Special-order goods cannot be returned unless specifically agreed.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Icelandic krónur including VAT unless stated otherwise. Prices can change without notice — for example with exchange rates or manufacturer price changes — until an order has been confirmed.

Payment is by invoice and bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery

The estimated delivery time is stated in the order confirmation. Special orders from manufacturers abroad can take longer, and Fiskar.is is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers or carriers. Risk passes to the buyer on delivery.

Warranty

Products carry the warranty of their manufacturer; its length and conditions follow the manufacturer’s terms. The warranty does not cover normal wear, consumables (such as sensor caps, membranes and batteries) or damage caused by incorrect use, installation or maintenance.

For consumer purchases, applicable consumer-protection law also applies.

Defects and returns

The buyer should inspect goods on receipt and report defects without undue delay to fiskar@fiskar.is. If goods prove defective, Fiskar.is may remedy this by repair, replacement or refund.

Limitation of liability

Fiskar.is is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of operations or loss of biomass, arising from the use or failure of equipment. Technical information on this website comes from the manufacturers and can change without notice — see the disclaimer.

Privacy and changes

Information is handled according to the site’s privacy policy. These terms may change; the terms published at the time an order is confirmed apply.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement shall be brought before the District Court of Reykjavík.
