Privacy policy

Transparency and personal privacy are fundamental to us.

The site sets no cookies. To see which pages are read we use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that records visits to individual pages as aggregate figures. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not identify individual visitors.

Personal information is only collected when you subscribe to the newsletter or send us a quote request. For the newsletter we keep your email address and when you subscribed. With a quote request we keep your name and email address and, where you give them, your company, kennitala and phone number, together with your message and the products asked about. If you accept a quote on the site, we record the name you type and when.

The information is used solely to answer your request, prepare a quote and follow up on the business. A newsletter address is used only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us, after which the address is deleted from the list.

The information is stored in the site database in Frankfurt and only FSK ehf. staff have access to it. Requests and quotes are kept for as long as the business and bookkeeping require.

Information is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. The processors that handle it solely on our behalf are Vercel (site hosting), Neon (database) and the email service that sends notifications and quotes.

Under the Icelandic Data Protection Act no. 90/2018 (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete information about you, and you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd). The data controller is FSK ehf., Icelandic company reg. no. 690726-1300.
