CurrentMeter measures the speed and direction of the sea current in real time, together with vertical and horizontal tilt. The data helps follow sea conditions and reduce feed drifting out of the cages.
It can be integrated with an optical oxygen probe so it also measures dissolved oxygen and temperature. It connects to the OxyBuoy monitoring station, which sends all data, current, oxygen and temperature, to a cloud database viewed in the FishControl portal. A standard Modbus output also lets it work with other monitoring systems.
Based on the data, farms can choose the feeding mode that spreads the feed best, and sites far from shore can judge whether a feeding trip is worth it, saving empty outings.
