The splice kit joins an extension cable to an AQ2 sensor with a pigtail cable. It contains a joint box and two penetrators, and the joint is rated to 500 m.
With it the cable can be extended in the field, for example to 150 m, without returning the sensor. ANB also recommends a splice kit when connecting a DTU-A converter to a pigtailed sensor.
