The NTU sensor from the DIGISENS range measures turbidity with infrared light at 850 nm, detecting the light scattered at 90°. It is calibrated with formazine standard and can also report mg/l.
The optical technology needs little maintenance and no consumables. Calibration and history are stored in the sensor, which connects to transmitters, handhelds and PLCs over Modbus RS-485 or SDI-12. For long-term monitoring the HYDROCLEAN_P wiper keeps the optical window clean.
