C4E is a digital sensor for conductivity, salinity, TDS and temperature from the DIGISENS range. It uses four-electrode technology: an alternating current is applied to two graphite electrodes while two platinum electrodes regulate the voltage, so fouling on the electrodes has less effect on the reading.

The sensor covers four ranges from 0 to 200 µS/cm up to 0 to 200 mS/cm and measures salinity from 5 to 60 g/kg, covering fresh, brackish and seawater. Temperature compensation is automatic via NTC.

Calibration and history are stored in the sensor, which connects to ACTEON transmitters, ODEON and NEON handhelds or a PLC over Modbus RS-485 or SDI-12.

This version has a 3 m cable with bare wires.
