AquaLabo OPTOD titanium, 30 m, bare wire

Part no.: PF-CAP-C-00566

Digital optical dissolved oxygen sensor in titanium with a 30 m cable and bare wires. Titanium gives the best resistance to seawater and corrosion.

  • Titanium body for the highest corrosion resistance
  • Luminescent optical technology, no membrane or electrolyte
  • No drift and reduced maintenance
  • Calibration stored in the sensor
  • Modbus RS-485 and SDI-12 communication
  • Ultra low power consumption

OPTOD is a digital dissolved oxygen sensor from AquaLabo's DIGISENS range, based on luminescent optical technology. There is no membrane or electrolyte and the sensor consumes no oxygen, so readings stay stable and accurate even at very low oxygen levels and with no water movement. The method is approved to ASTM D888-05.

The sensor stores its calibration and history in its own electronics and connects directly to PLCs, data loggers and transmitters over open Modbus RS-485 or SDI-12. Power consumption is very low, which suits both fixed monitoring and long field campaigns.

The only routine maintenance is replacing the DODISK sensing disc, which lasts about 2 years on average. The disc sits in a strainer screwed onto the front of the sensor.

This version has a titanium body, which AquaLabo recommends for seawater and high conductivity water, and a 30 m cable with bare wires. The long cable suits measurements at depth in sea cages.
